The Royal Tour
Eureka, California is a cute town. Making its money in lumbering the old growth forests, the town is home to some extraordinary Victorian mansions. The most famous is Carson Mansion.
The house was built by lumber magnate William Carson in 1886, and is now a private club. It is perhaps most famous as the outline for the Addams Family House.
While I was lucky enough to visit the inside, photography isn't allowed. Rather, visitors circle the mansion to capture it from all sides.
Carson also built the Pink Lady across the street from his mansion as a gift to his son.
