Pasadena's  Norton Simon Museum

The Royal Tour

The Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, California began life in 1954 as the Pasadena Art Museum, but was renamed for benefactor Norton Simon in 1969. This sculpture welcomes visitors.

While the art collection is great, the gardens are also not to be missed. This looks like a scene from a Monet.

Pieces like this harken back to the museum's original focus on modern art.

Exotic Landscape by Rousseau is one of my favorite pieces in the collection.

There is also a great collection of historical and religious artifacts!

For most, the piece not to miss is Rodin's The Thinker, which is actually out front along Colorado Blvd. Make sure to pose.
