The Royal Tour
The Cologne Cathedral is one of the world's largest. at 516 feet tall, it is the third tallest, and its front facade is the biggest on the planet.
The cathedral was started in 1248, but due to a stop in construction for almost 300 years, it wasn't completed until 1880.
Entrance is free, and the interior nave rises to 140 feet, making the inside bright and airy, despite the numerous columns.
Every important cathedral needs an important artifact. The Cologne Cathedral boasts the tomb of the three wise men (in theory).
The entire inside is ornate, but the mosaic floors are my favorite part.
