The Royal Tour
The Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Center is part of the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, but is a second campus located next to Dulles Airport in Northern Virginia. It is highlighted by the space shuttle Discovery.
The building itself has a large observation tower overlooking on of Dulles’ runways.
While listening to a live feed from the control tower, you can watch planes land.
Back inside, the Udvar-Hazy Center offers a rare glimpse at the all-titanium SR-71 Blackbird.
