Hello, I’m Madeleine. My primary interest throughout my schooling years was studying other languages, and traveling the world felt like the easiest way to create opportunities to apply my book learning to real conversations. Between exchange programs, study abroad, an overseas teaching fellowship, unplanned backpacking trips, and very planned work trips, I’ve seen more of the world than I ever thought I would. Now, with 15 years’ experience of international travel under my belt, I can confidently say that I am an expert in miscommunication and frantic gesturing. Having spent the past three years traveling the world as an on-site software trainer, I’ve recently settled down in the Florida panhandle and will be writing occasional guest posts for The Royal Tour.
