Do you know that Chance card in Monopoly that gives you money because the bank made an error in your favor? We all smile because that never happens. Or does it? Citibank made an error in my favor, and now I am going back to Singapore! Here is the story.
As you all know, I recently went to Japan. I took my best friend, and paid for the trip using miles. Our return flight was on Singapore Air, so I transferred 65,000 Citi Thank You points to cover it. Something weird happened, and Citi mistakenly ran the transaction twice, so I ended up with 130,000 Singapore Air miles! As these will expire, I have to book a nearly free trip on Singapore Air, and 76,000 miles gets me roundtrip to Singapore with a nice 3 day stopover in Seoul on the way. Win!
The Raffles Hotel in Singapore is the quintessential British colonial hotel, and the place the Singapore Sling was invented.
Singapore is my favorite city in the world, ever since I first visited in 2016, and I can’t wait to go back. Between the amazing cultural mix, interesting architecture, beauty of the city itself, and the food, it is a city that has something for everyone. I am so excited to return in April!
