If you are like me, when you travel you enjoy unique museums. I’ve explored cultural gems all over the world, but one museum really stands out: the Museum of Gold in Bogota, Colombia.

This is a vast building dedicated to the gold crafts of pre-exploration Colombian societies. There are masks, pins, coins, figurines, and other treasures of this wonderful and shiny metal.

The collection is separated according to both date of creation and location, with the most impressive artifacts being in the beginning, and a room at the end where the  walls and floor are see-through and filled with gold coins and chains.

At the beginning of our tour, I took pictures of nearly everything, but by the end, I was a bit golded out. Still, impressive, and definitely worth a visit!
